Situated on the Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake, the property offers direct backyard access to the lake via a private gated path. Guests can walk from the backyard to the shoreline and nearby boat launch, making it easy to get on the water without loading up the car.

From May 1 through September 30, your stay includes a FREE boat slip at Sugarloaf Marina, located less than one mile from the home — a rare and valuable perk that saves guests time, money, and the hassle of trailering. Enjoy quick access to swimming coves, tubing areas, and sunset cruises, then return to your docked boat at the end of the day.

In warmer months, enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding right from your doorstep. In winter, Mt. Shasta Ski Park is less than an hour away, offering skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and scenic alpine views.

Despite the peaceful, wooded setting, you’re only about three miles from I-5, grocery stores, gas stations, and local dining.

The Sugar House – Main Home (3 Bed / 2 Bath)

Named after nearby Sugarloaf, the main home is a spacious, open-concept retreat designed for gathering and relaxation. The large great room and fully equipped kitchen make it easy to cook, dine, and spend time together. Dining options include a table seating seven, a breakfast bar seating five, and an additional dining area seating four. Thoughtful lighting throughout creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The main home features a brand-new HVAC system, ensuring reliable heating and cooling for guest comfort year-round.

Sleeping arrangements include a California King in the primary suite, a guest room with a queen bed and a triple bunk for kids, a downstairs twin daybed with a pull-out trundle, and a custom corner daybed surrounded by windows — perfect for afternoon naps or stargazing. All beds feature high-quality linens with plenty of pillows and blankets.

Downstairs, guests can relax in the game and TV room with a fun, laid-back vibe for both kids and adults.

Attached Guest House

The attached guest house offers added privacy and flexibility while maintaining the same high standards as the main home — with major upgrades completed in 2026. Located across a covered breezeway, this space features a completely remodeled, modern shower and a brand-new mini split system, allowing guests to control their own heating and cooling for personalized comfort.

The guest house includes two bedrooms with queen beds, a comfortable living area, a fully stocked mini-kitchen, and a modern bathroom. A private entrance and path lead directly to the back gate and lake trail, making it ideal for extended family, couples, or guests seeking a quieter retreat.

Guest Access & Important Notes

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire private property, including both homes.

Guests must be 25 years or older to book. Base rates include up to eight guests, with up to four additional guests allowed at $25 per night per guest.

Exterior Ring cameras are installed for security and safety only: one at the front door of the main home, one in the driveway, and one in the backyard near the lake access. There are no interior or private-area cameras. Tampering with these devices will result in a fee.
